Main Deities & Shrines

**1. Lord Vaidyanathar (Vaitheeswaran) – Lord Shiva **

·         Main Deity: Known as the Divine Healer, this Swayambhu (self-manifested) Shiva Lingam faces west—unusual in South Indian temple architecture. Devotees believe He cures physical and mental ailments with His grace.

2. Thaiyalnayaki (Thiyalnayagi) – Goddess Parvati

·         Consort of Shiva: Holds medicinal oil symbolizing healing. Worshippers seek her blessings specifically for skin diseases and general well-being

3. Lord Subramanya (Muthukumara Swamy / Selva Muthukumaran) – Lord Muruga

·         Son of Shiva & Parvati: Known as “Selva Muthukumaraswamy.” Here, He carries only one face (instead of six) and received the Vel weapon. Worshippers seek courage, protection, and resolve obstacles

4. Lord Angaraka (Sevvai) – Planet Mars

·         Navagraha Shrine: Located near the main sanctum, this shrine addresses Mangal Dosha. Red flowers, oil lamps with red oil, and Toor dal offerings are common during Tuesday rituals.

5. Lord Dhanvantari Siddhar – Ayurvedic Healer

Siddha Physician: A niche shrine dedicated to Dhanvantari, the celestial doctor and father of Ayurveda. Devotees pray for health and longevity.
